Digging Deeper – Experience the ForesightWorks Research from Your Volunteer Leaders’ Seat

Overview

Now that you know a little about the ASAE Foundation’s evidence-based ForesightWorks Research, you might benefit from simulating how your volunteer leaders might engage with the content. If you are serious about gaining a greater comfort level with facilitating a futures discussion with volunteer leaders, plan to attend this session. After a brief intro, session attendees will play the role of their volunteer leaders and discuss drivers of change that will impact your association’s membership and learning strategies.
Take the fear out of the futures discussion. Attend this session and better understand how to dip your toe into building a culture of foresight in your association.

Learning Objectives:
• Become familiar with the ASAE Foundation #ForesightWorks resources, especially the Action Briefs
• Walk away with practical ideas of how you might be able to begin to build a culture of foresight in your own organization.

Speaker: Sue Pine, CAE

Sue is VP of Professional Development at Association Headquarters, Senior Director of NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals), and AMC National Accounts Rep for the PHL-CVB. She worked for almost 40 years in the "association management" world. Sue role within the PHLCVB is to raise the awareness of Philadelphia as a perfect meeting destination to her association friends. Sue is a frequent speaker at ASAE, AMC Institute, and a variety of ASAE State Society meetings. Sue is an ASAE trained facilitator of the ASAE Certificate in Association Management. She is a subject matter expert on Environmental Scanning, Trends Monitoring, & AMC Accreditation.  Sue has received the 2009 AMC Institute Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2008 Leadership Award from the ASAE-AMC Section Council, and the 2015 MASAE Distinguished Service Award.
