While Connections may not be happening for a bit, PASAE still wants to do our part to support and encourage community service and volunteerism amongst our association family.

As we began making plans for the Connections Conference, we were fortunate enough to connect with the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau and their Pocono Community Caring Company, commonly referred to as the Pocono 3C Program.

This partnership, comprised of the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau, the RHD’s Street2Feet and the Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority, provides job opportunities to homeless and those at risk of homelessness. Individuals provide clean-up efforts throughout Monroe County, helping to alleviate debris and litter while beautifying neighborhoods and instilling a sense of pride throughout the community.

PASAE members will have a chance to learn more about this partnership, how to design similar programs in their local areas and the long-term benefits of the program for all involved as a part of the conference.

As you know, each conference has a giving component and for this year’s, PASAE’s Education Committee thought the giving could be to this program.

The 3C Program could use the following items for the participants:

  • Sunglasses
  • Baseball Caps/Sun Visors
  • Men & Women’s Long Sleeve Moisture Wicking Shirts (like Under Armour®)
  • Men & Women’s Short Sleeve Moisture Wicking Shirts (like Under Armour®)
  • Cases of bottled water
  • Individual Drink Mix packets
  • Individually packaged snack items such as granola bars, applesauce/jello/pudding cups, fruit snacks, etc.

If preferred, you can also send direct monetary donations to support the program. All check donations can be made out to RHD Street 2 Feet Outreach Center. For any contribution, please include a note that you are making this donation on behalf of PASAE.

All donations can be sent to:
