While you are excited about the potential of your current board, the clock is ticking and their term will come to an end sooner than you think.  Don't wait until your about ready to ride off into the sunset to build your succession plan to make sure you cultivate strong future leaders who will continue to build upon the successes of your current board. Sharing take-away from the ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership "Decision to Volunteer: Why People Give Their Time and How to Engage Them," participants will learn the most effective strategies and principles used by nonprofit associations to attract, engage and retain future leaders.  Participants will work in teams to identify sources to identify potential volunteers and map which volunteer opportunities would be most likely to engage specific volunteer personas.
